Allow me to introduce myself…My name is T.S. Sanders, I know kinda weird…it’s a long story…you can just call me “T Dub”…
I have been playing World of Warcraft for about four years now, well before it was out of closed beta. The thrill of the game for me, more than anything else, has always been the fast paced, face to face action of PvP. Over the years, the game has advanced, adding more content, extending the depth of that PvP interaction and making it so anyone with the right practice and resources could step into the ring and prove that they were the very best.
Over the years, I have amassed over 100,000 honorable kills, maybe a million honor points, and achieved top 10 ranking in my battle group for my 2v2 team. I have rarely lost matches against anyone who was not geared to the teeth and fully prepared and have never been intimidated by a match no matter how far flung the odds are against me.
I know what you might be thinking. It’s all about gear. And that’s true, to a certain extent… But gear can only take you that far in the arenas. Here’s a glimpse of my Warcraft Armory:
But… I wasn’t always at the top of the PvP charts. In fact, for the first year and a half I played World of Warcraft, I was very much like yourself – I was nervous of even setting foot into any form of PvP. I had played the game plenty with four characters at Level 60 and all the right gear and maxed out stats, but I figured I couldn’t possibly be as good as theses players that went around boasting on trade channels about heir win-loss record. How could I ever hope to stand up to them?
But, then one day, I watched a duel between one of my guildmates and a solo player who was not even yet Level 60. He destroyed my friend and without saying another word started to leave the zone. I immediately messaged him to congratulate him and ask how he got so good. He replied simply, “I practiced a lot”. I realized then that the best PvPers around didn’t get good because they were talented. They got good because they practiced and researched their opponents. And that’s when I got started. Ever since then I’ve been on a crusade to become one of the best PvPers in WoW and dozens of my fellow guild members and players have started messaging me, asking the very same questions, “How did you get so good?” I figured it was about time to share.
To be successful in PvP, you have to do three simple things. You have to know your opponent, know yourself, and be willing to learn from your mistakes. I cannot help you much with the last one – that will come with practice and time, but with my brand new PvP Guide, you can learn everything you need to know to master your opponents and your own class in PvP.
More than any other guide on the market, the PvP Bible has been built around the experience of a player who wanted nothing more than to just get better. I practiced day and night and recorded everything I did. I wrote down when I lost. I looked up my opponents in the armory. I recorded matches to analyze them later, like football coaches do for their teams when preparing for… Read more…
