Wrath Of The Lich King will continue with the varied amounts of reputation systems that were part of WoW Classic and The Burning Crusade, but this time, there will be some varied twists that players should enjoy.

The main change:

Developers want to make it not feel like a grind so they have introduced a new Championing System into the game, allowing people to raise reputation faster on 4 of the new 16 Factions. Note that there are 4 Alliance and 4 Horde factions so players only have access to 12 Factions

The rest of it is pretty much like it was in The Burning Crusade, meaning you raise your faction through the 4 levels (Friendly, Honored, Revered, Exalted) allowing the purchase of unique “Faction Rewards”.

What is Championing?

Championing simply means that you put on the Tabard of whatever 4 Factions you wish to raise faction for, and then anytime you do a Dungeon or Raid, all the reputation you earn will go to that particular faction. This doesn’t work for all Factions, however Blizzard may change this in the future.

Non-elite: Normal -0 Heroic – 1-2

Elite trash: Normal -5 Heroic – 15

Super trash: Normal -10 Heroic – 30
